I was only 4 years old when I saw a Tae Kwon Do exhibition, and totally fell in love with the sport. "Mommy! I want to do that!" I joyfully said after it was over. My mom was delighted since she had been looking for a sport that I actually liked for a year. I started practicing in Regatas for weeks, months, years, and I didn´t get bored. I loved it. 12 years have gone by and I still have the same feeling about Tae Kwon Do that I did when I was 4, if not stronger. I am now in the national team, and I have represented Peru in Pan-american championships and world championships since 2013. I am not planning on quitting, so don't try to convince me.
After a few turn of events, unfortunately I was faced with taking the decision of retiring from the Peruvian National team on 2016. The positive side of this, is that now I'm going to be able to try new things, pursue other passions such as theatre and probably discover new ones. This doesn't mean that I'm quitting Tae Kwon Do, because as I said before, I'm not planning on quitting, I'm still going to practice, just not on the national team.
